      How Do I Use File Descriptions For Exhibits?

      The Steno Connect App for Zoom lets users add descriptive filenames to exhibits for easier identification

      How to Use:

        1. Choose an exhibit to mark
        2. Find the "File Description" field.  This field automatically populates with the original filename from the user's computer
        3. Edit the text in the "File Description" field (this is optional, not required)

        4. Select "INTRODUCE" to submit
        5. After submission, the descriptive filename appears when hovering over the marked exhibit

      1. To edit the file description, click the ellipsis next to a marked exhibit. There the user who marked the exhibit can edit the description

      Troubleshooting

      • This functionality ONLY exists in the Steno Connect App for Zoom. It does not exist via the web app or the Firm Dashboard. Learn more about Steno Connect web app here.
      • The descriptive filename is only visible on hover to the user who marked the exhibit.
