Introduction
The Dashboard is designed to help court reporters efficiently manage depositions and related tasks. This guide will help you understand the different sections and how to use them effectively.
My Jobs Page
Accessing My Jobs
The My Jobs page is your central hub for managing all deposition assignments:
- Log in to your Steno dashboard
- Click on "My Jobs" in the left navigation menu
- The main page displays your jobs with the description "Manage, upload, and download files for any job"
Job Status Navigation
My Jobs are organized into three tabs:
- Upcoming: Jobs scheduled for future dates
- In Progress: Jobs currently underway or with pending tasks
- Completed: Jobs that have been finished
Accessing Job Details
To view complete information about a specific job:
- Find the job in your list
- Click anywhere on the job entry or on the arrow (>) at the right side
- This will take you to the Job Details page with tabs for "Details" and "Tasks"

Navigating to Job Details
After clicking on a specific job from the My Jobs page, you'll be taken to that job's details page:
- The page header shows "My Jobs / Job [ID number]" (e.g., "My Jobs / Job 102162")
- Two tabs are available: "Details" and "Tasks"
- The Details tab is selected by default
Job Info Section
The Job Info section displays comprehensive information about the proceeding, including:
- Location
- Remote: For depositions conducted entirely via video conferencing
- In-Person: For depositions where you'll need to be physically present
- Hybrid - Remote: For depositions where you'll participate remotely while others may be in-person
- Hybrid - In-Person: For depositions where you'll be physically present while others may join remotely
- Date/Time: Scheduled in specified time zone (e.g., Pacific Time)
- If the job's time zone matches your local time zone, you'll see a confirmation message: "(matches your local time)"
- If the job's time zone differs from your local time zone, you'll see an alert: "The job's time zone does not match your local time."
- For hybrid jobs requiring in-person attendance, a "You must be in person" alert will appear first, followed by any time zone alerts
- Estimated Hours: Expected duration of the deposition (e.g., 2 hours)
- Job Type
- Job ID: Unique identifier for the job
- Witness: Name of the witness being deposed with any credentials (e.g., "Expert Witness - Medical Doctor")
- Platform: For remote or hybrid jobs, typically Zoom
- Address: For in-person or hybrid jobs, the physical location details
- Bonus Amount
- Services & Add-ons: Selected services such as Videographer, Interpreter, Steno Tech Assistant, Expedite, Realtime, and Rough Draft
- Additional Info: Important notes including deposition requirements and special instructions
Case Info
The dashboard provides information about the case and firms involved in the case.
- Case Name
- Case Category
- Case Subcategory
- Case ID
- State Venued
- Firms
Attendees
The Attendees section lists all participants for the deposition:
- Taking Attorney and their contact information
- Videographer (if assigned)
- Interpreter (if assigned)
- Steno Tech Assistant (if assigned)
File Submission and Managing Tasks
On the Job Details page:
- Click the "Tasks" tab to view and manage deliverables
- Upload worksheets, exhibits, transcripts, and invoices in their respective sections
- Monitor due dates for each task category
- Submit files before deadlines to avoid "Overdue" status
When submitting files:
- Navigate to the Tasks tab
- Find the appropriate category (Worksheet, Exhibits, Transcripts, Invoice)
- Upload files using the drag-and-drop area or "SELECT FILES FROM COMPUTER" button
- Add notes if necessary
- Click "SUBMIT" when ready
Tips for Efficient Dashboard Use
- Check the My Jobs page regularly to see upcoming depositions and outstanding deliverables
- Use the status tabs (Upcoming, In Progress, Completed) to organize your workflow
- Click on any job to access detailed information and task requirements
- Always note whether a job is Remote, In-Person, or Hybrid to prepare accordingly
- For Remote or Hybrid-Remote jobs, ensure your video is on and use a professional background
- Pay attention to time zone differences to avoid scheduling conflicts
- Review all documents thoroughly before the deposition begins
- Submit all required files by their due dates to avoid delays
- For federal cases, be sure to review all linked stipulations and rules
